As you probably know, Chelsea Flower Show has been rescheduled to this week as a late summer festival to gardens, plants and flowers. So you could go through all the hassle of buying tickets, getting up to London, elbowing your way through the crowd, flinching every time someone coughs – and then summoning up the energy to come back down to Hampshire…

… Alternatively this Saturday (25 September) between 2.30pm to 5.30pm you could plug “SP11 9AQ” into your Sat. Nav and gently meander out to Redenham Park House with some friends, and enjoy the sights and ambiance of Lady Clark’s beautiful garden. (You could also be led astray by the cream teas which are there to tempt you…)

Your call. But for a relaxed, resposant and enjoyable afternoon away from the horrors of the madding crowd, then Redenham Park will beat Chelsea hands down this Saturday. No decision.
