The sun came out on Easter Sunday – winter was no more ….

…. the church yard was pretty much full – with some fully-masked parishoners inside the church. There was enthusiastic singing outside combined with elegant coats, as summer is not yet quite here.

There was added mystery to the Easter service in the form of an (almost Dickensian) ‘anonymous benefactor’ who had distributed Easter eggs throughout the church yard before the service. At the end, there was an impressive display of Darwinian ‘survival of the fittest’ from the younger members of the congregation as the Easter egg hunt in the church yard was a high-energy and sharp-elbowed affair.
